Theatre in the Pines Presents "Summer and Smoke" by Tennessee Williams

Theatre in the Pines has begun rehearsals of the magnificent production of Summer and Smoke by Tennessee Williams, under the direction of Nan Webber. It is the love story of a “puritanical” Southern girl and an “unpuritanical” young doctor. This is one of Williams’ most poignant plays.

Performance dates for Summer and Smoke are May 17, 18, and 19, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., and May 20, 2012 at 3:00 p.m., in Spiran Hall, Rockport, MA.

The cast includes: Heidi Pulkkinen as Alma; Larry Cook as John Buchanan, Jr.; Karl Pulkkinen as Rev. Winemiller; Mary Rudolph Black as Mrs. Winemiller; Martin Ray as Dr. John Buchanan, Sr.; Eileen Fitzgerald as Rosa Gonzales; Walter Peckham as Roger Doremus; Courtney Peckham as Nellie Ewell; Sarah Clark as Mrs. Bassett; Steve Rask as Vernon; Ann Roman as Rosemary; Chuck Francis as Gonzales; Henry Cooper as Dusty; Scott Hazzard as Archie Kramer; Randy Dupps as Harold; Barbara Brewer as Hester.
