Welcome to Changing Tides Bed & Breakfast, an updated 1800’s home, located in Rockport’s historic downtown district. Our home has three bright and sunny guest rooms, all of which feature skylights. The Captain’s Quarters, located at the front of the home, has a queen size bed and a private bath located just outside the door.  The Beachcomber Suite, overlooking the gardens in the back yard, has two twin sized beds that can be converted to a very comfortable king-sized bed and a a brand new ensuite bathroom. The Mermaid Suite, has a private bathroom with a large walk-in shower with two shower heads and a built in bench.

We have a large chef’s kitchen where your gourmet breakfasts are prepared. The menu changes daily based on the availability of fresh local ingredients and the whims of your hostess and chef, Steph. We will happily meet any special dietary needs with advanced notice. On warm days you can dine outdoors on our screen porch or have your breakfast in the backyard gardens. We have a large living room with a flat screen television and a sitting room where you can chat with Stephanie as she prepares your breakfast.

We are situated within walking distance of the Rockport Headlands, a rocky promontory overlooking Rockport harbor, where you can rest on granite benches and watch the comings and goings of sailboats, lobster boats, and local artists with their canvases. It is a great place to view the sunset over the town harbor in the evening. Also nearby is the Shalin Liu Performance center, where the Rockport Chamber Music Festival is held, along with other live music events. Just a short walk from the house are three of Rockport’s most picturesque beaches; Old garden Beach, Front Beach, and Back Beach. We will provide beach towels, umbrellas, and chairs to our guests, should they require them. The famous Bearskin Neck is just a few steps away, and is full of quaint shops, colorful galleries and restaurants where fresh seafood is always on the menu.
