An Artistic M’nagerie: Collaborations of Mind, Hand and Imagerie

Enjoy an afternoon of music and art, featuring Milhaud’s La cr’ation du monde, a ballet based on African mythology, as well as Satie’s Parade and Stravinsky’s legendary Sacre du Printemps, performed in the composers’ own arrangements for piano four hands. Great works of art by Leger, Picasso, Bonnard and others will be illuminated on a screen above the stage ‘ showcasing images from nature and ballet. Baritone David Kravitz sings songs by Poulenc.

Marcus Thompson gives a pre-concert talk at 2:00 PM.
