Antique Houses of Gloucester by Prudence Fish
The Cape Ann Museum presents a lecture and slide presentation by Prudence Fish, author of Antique Houses of Gloucester, in the Folly Cove Auditorium on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m.
In Antique Houses of Gloucester, Prudence Paine Fish delivers a masterful survey of Gloucester’s most compelling, puzzling and captivating old homes’while simultaneously providing an entertaining primer on New England’s colonial and nineteenth-century architecture.
Prudence Fish, holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She has spent three decades as a realtor specializing in historic Essex County-area homes. Through the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, she has delivered numerous lectures, presentations, and formal courses on the history of Cape Ann’s homes and architectural styles.
The Cape Ann Museum is located at 27 Pleasant Street in Gloucester. Hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The Museum is closed on Mondays, and on major holidays. Admission is $8.00 adults, $6.00 Cape Ann residents, students and seniors. Children under 12 and Museum members are free. The Museum is wheelchair accessible.
