Rockport artist Betty Lou Schlemm, AWS, will conduct a landscape workshop during the week of September 25-29, 9am-4pm. There will be a demonstration on location in Rockport. In the event of rain, the workshop will be held inside Schlemm’s gallery located at 11 Caleb’s Lane in Rockport. The fee for the workshop is $150. for the week. All proceeds will be directed to the Cape Ann Animal Aid Building Fund. The Cape Ann Animal Aid is a no-kill, non-profit shelter, located at 260 Main Street in Gloucester. Betty Lou Schlemm is a member of the American Watercolor Society and has been elected a member of its Dolfin Fellowship. She has served as a regional vice president, a past director and feels her greatest accomplishment was being awarded the American Watercolor Society’s Silver Medal. She is a past-president of the Rockport Art Association. Schlemm has been known for over 30 years for her watercolor workshops in Rockport as well as teaching through the United States and Europe. She was an invited lecturer/demonstrator to the Victorian Artist Society in Melbourne, Australia.
