Blessing of the animals

St. Mary’s Episcopal Church of Rockport will hold the annual blessing of the animals on Sunday, Oct. 1, 2 PM, at Millbrook Meadow (across from Back Beach), in celebration

of the Feast of St. Francis of Assist. The Rev. Karin E. Wade, rector, invites all Cape Ann pets. Animals should be on a leash or in a cage or carrier. A donation will be taken

to benefit the Cape Ann Animal Aid.
