Cape Ann Animal Aid to hold Dog Day, Sunday, October 1
The Cape Ann Animal Aid (CAAA) will be hosting “Dog Day” on Sunday, October 1st, along Stacey Boulevard (by the tennis courts) in Gloucester. Bring your dog (on a leash), family and friends for an enjoyable and fun day overlooking beautiful Gloucester Harbor.
This day will begin with a pledge fundraising walk with registration beginning at 12:30 and the Parade at 1 PM. The tennis court activities will be agility for fun (egg on a spoon relay races, best canine smile, and owner pet look alike) at 1:45 PM.
Other activities will include “Doggy Psychologist”, nail trimming, painting and ribbons, refreshments, photo buttons, activities for children and more! Events will be taking place until 4 PM.
The CAAA will also host their first Georgia Rescue Reunion and the Sato Reunion from 10 AM – 1 PM. The reunions will take place at Stage Fort Park. Rescuers from Georgia and Puerto Rico will be present to reunite with canines they have rescued and sent to New England. Adopters will have an opportunity to learn more about their pet’s history and possibly even meet up with their dog’s siblings!
The CAAA is a non-profit, no-kill shelter located at 260 Main Street in Gloucester with plans for a new shelter. For details, check their new web-page at capeannanimalaid.com
