Children Singing For Children Christmas Benefit Concert

Children Singing for Children

Christmas Concert

4:00 pm, December 11, 2005

Sacred Heart Church, School Street, Manchester, MA

Conceived in 2000 by Manchester performer, composer and teacher Carol Mead, Children Singing for Children is a Christmas concert performed by local children, aged 6 – 18 years, to benefit organizations that support needy children. This year more than 30 young singers and several violinists will be treating us to what has become a wonderful holiday celebration in our community. Carol and her sister, Faith Bertrand, give their time and expertise to rehearse weekly with the hardworking children, to produce an unsurpassed volunteer effort that is a delight to the ears!

In the past, Children Singing for Children has aided children internationally and locally through organizations in Nicaragua, Cameroon, Beverly and Berlin, Massachusetts. This year, the children of Cape Ann Food Pantry in Gloucester, MA and the Center for Children in Haiti will be co-recipients of funds raised by this event. The monies raised will go specifically to help feed hungry children.
