The March meeting of the Essex Historical Society will take place on Wednesday, March 14th from 7-8:30 PM. This particular meeting will be held at the Essex Fire Station Meeting Room. Captain Paul Doucette, of the Fire Company and Kurt Wilhelm, Acting Curator of the Essex Historical Society, will offer an evening of stories and photos depicting the people, equipment and events associated with the Essex Fire Department during its past. Attendees will learn about the handtubs “Amazon” and “Essex 2,” which were the Essex fire trucks of the 1920s, as well as major fires fought by the EFD, and fun activities such as musters.
Admission is free. The Essex Fire Station Meeting Room is handicap accessible.
