Recent Acquisitions: Gifts of Fine Art, 2005-2006 embodies the eclectic mix of the historical and the contemporary. Each of the artists represented has a connection to Cape Ann. Their vision and the generosity of the donors are celebrated here. Paintings by Emma Fordyce MacRae (1887-1974), Walter Dean (1854-1912), Harry Vincent Aiken (1864-1961), William Kienbusch (1914-1980), and William Meyerowitz (1887-1981) are joined by the work of Bernard Chaet (b.1924), Charles Movalli (b.1945), Anita Curtis (b.1917), Robin Paine (b.1952) and Ed Touchette. The exhibition continues through June 17, 2007.
