Harold Lopez-Nussa Trio

Following in the tradition of dynamic Cuban pianists like Chucho Valdez, Ruben Gonzalez and Roberto Fonseca, Harold L’pez-Nussa brings an intoxicating blend of Afro-Latin, jazz, and classical themes into his unique style.

Classically trained in Havana conservatories, L’pez-Nussa switched his focus to jazz and has been gaining accolades both in Cuba and the rest of the world ever since, including taking first prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival. He’s primed to explode onto the American jazz scene in the next few years, so check him out now!

For this concert, he’ll be joined by rising star Senegalese singer/bassist Alune Wade and his fantastically talented brother Ruy L’pez-Nussa on drums. Watch the video below for a taste of their distinct Senegalese-Cuban hybrid sound!
