Jazz in Rockport: Brazilian Rhythms

You are cordially invited to attend a delightful evening of jazz music featuring pianist Jeff Gardner Trio at the Rockport Art Association, September 16th. The evening will be hosted by Boston’s leading jazz radio personality, Eric Jackson of Jazz With Eric in The Evening, from WGBH Boston. Concert start time: 8:00 PM.

Pianist Jeff Gardner will visit Rockport for an evening concert performing Brazilian rhythms, many his own compositions inspired by standards by such legendary Brazilian artist as Anthony Carlos Jobim featuring Samba and Bossa Nova. He will be joined by Anthony Pinciotti on drums and George Kaye on bass.

Pianist and composer Jeff Gardner, presently living in Brazil, has toured extensively in Europe, South America, and Japan and has released thirteen CDs as leader. Jazz Times magazine named his duo CD Grace, recorded live, as one of the ten best CDs of 2001.

This is the second of the Rockport Art Association Jazz in Rockport Concert Series and promises to be a delightfully inspiring early fall evening event. We hope you’ll join us in our charming seaside town for this special musical evening.
