Manhattan to Massachusetts Photography Exhibit

Rockport Photographer and Digital Artist Adrian Lauterstein shows images from “Manhattan to Massachusetts” at The White Rainbow Restaurant.

For years, Rockport photographer Adrian Lauterstein has been on a quest to shoot unique photographic images and make archival one-of-a-kind prints from them. On Sunday, September 3, his show opens at the White Rainbow Restaurant at 65 Main Street, Gloucester, Phone: (978) 281-0017 with a reception from 5-7 pm. Locals will enjoy this work, which is both unusual and approachable. The show runs until October 3.

The subject of Adrian Lauterstein’s photography is varied from images of people, to landscapes, to shots of sculpture printed on rare Tibetan paper. Each piece is designed to be both intriguing and aesthetically pleasing.

Adrian Lauterstein began his foray into digital Fine Art earlier than most, in the early 1990’s. With a history of traditional photography, he grew tired of the expense and limitations of film. Instead, he spent years using affordable digital cameras and desktop printers. Eventually the industry caught up and today he uses a Canon Rebel XT and an Epson printer with archival inks. He makes single prints of his work, not numbered editions.
