The Rockport Public Library presents a series of ‘Meet the Author’ events. All are open to the public and all will take place at the library, located at 17 School Street in Rockport.

July 23 at 7:00 P.M.

Meet the Author: Kate Braestrup, author of ‘Here if You Need Me’

Ms. Braestrup will discuss her best selling memoir, which the Washington Post describes as: “A superbly crafted memoir of love, loss, grief, hope and the complex subtleties of faith . . . [Braestrup is] remarkable, steady, peaceful and wise.”

Meet the Authors: A Literary Sense of Place’Cape Ann

Join local authors Peter Anastas, Gregory Gibson, and Rodman Philbrick for a discussion of how generally a sense of environment colors their writing and in particular how Cape Ann emerges as a sense of place.

Meet the Author: Julia Glass, author of ‘I See You Everywhere’

Join this 2006 National Book Award winner for her novel ‘The Three Junes’ as she discusses her forthcoming book ‘I See You Everywhere’ as well as her previous novels.

Meet the Author: Andre Dubus III, author of ‘The Garden of Last Days’ and Summer Beach Reads Wrap Up

Join this nationally acclaimed and best-selling author to discuss his new book. His previous book ‘House of Sand and Fog’ was made into a movie. Mr. Dubus will also wrap up the library’s Summer Beach Reads Program sharing some of his favorite reads and the results compiled from Rockporters’ summer reads.
