‘OVERBOARD’ performs at the Old Sloop Coffee House

Overboard began in 2006 as a humble street performing group, but has grown to be featured entertainment for the likes of American Idol and The CBS Early Show. Overboard’s high-powered soul-infused vocal rock, energetic live show, and 6 albums have caught the attention of both the global a cappella community and Boston’s discerning local music scene. Overboard is also a favorite of Cape Ann audiences.

This performance will mark Overboard’s fourth appearance at Old Sloop Coffeehouse, and the group has also appeared at the Shalin Liu Performance Center and the Gloucester Unitarian Universalist Church. Overboard has been nominated for 10 Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards and 18 A Cappella Community Awards in the last three years. After winning the competitive Boston Regional Harmony Sweepstakes Festival in 2011, Overboard began touring more frequently, visiting colleges, performing arts centers and music festivals throughout the country to share its tight harmonies, intricate arrangements and engaging workshops with singers and enthusiasts of all ages. Overboard was a guest artist for Berklee College of Music’s Vocal Summit this summer, performing alongside Grammy winner and seven-time Grammy nominee Paula Cole.
