Privateering & The Revolution at Sea

The Essex Historical Society & Shipbuilding Museum presents Privateering & The Revolution at Sea, Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 7:30 pm, in the Waterline Center, 66 Main Street, Essex, MA. Admission: $8 members, $10 nonmembers.

Snow date is Tuesday, Feb. 23.

Dr. Emily Murphy will present a talk on the merchants and mariners who risked their livelihoods and lives to take the battle to the British on the high seas during the American Revolution. Join historian Emily Murphy as she explores the world of the privateersmen and navy sailors who supplied one of Essex County’s major contributions to the revolutionary war effort.
