Kim Pedersen will present a slide show of her volunteer work with the dZi Foundation at the Essex Shipbuilding Museum’s Waterline Center, from 7- 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 21st. With the support of a travel grant from Shore Country Day School where she teaches, Kim was able to assist a group of dentists and eye doctors in the Himalayan villages of Ladakh, a remote region of northwest India which has much in common with Tibetan culture. Slides of her seven day Markha Valley Trek will also be presented. Following her presentation , a medley of desserts will be served. Free, but donations to support the Essex Shipbuilding Museum are greatly appreciated.
