Wearable Art Show & Sale

Support the arts on Cape Ann and enjoy some holiday shopping at the same time’

seARTS jewelry designers presents ‘A Collection of Wearable Art Created on Cape Ann.’ On Saturday and Sunday, December 8th and 9th, seven local jewelry artists will host a show and sale of their unique art: hand made jewelry created here on Cape Ann.

From solid gold to sea glass, polymer clay to pearls, the jewelry created by this group of women spans a wide range of materials. Artists Meredith Anderson, Lee Cunningham, Jacqueline Ganim-DeFalco, Jade Gedeon, Candy Marshall, Marsha White, and Annabel Wildrick invite the public to join them at the Pleasant Street Tea Room, 7 Pleasant Street, in Gloucester.

Saturday hours are 8 AM to 9 PM; Sunday hours are 9 AM to 5 PM. Sample some of the Tea Room’s fare during a complimentary High Tea, served on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5. There is no charge for admission.

Meet the artists, browse the work, buy a present for someone special, and enjoy a cup of tea. There is something for everyone: prices for the wearable art range from $30 to $250. And there’s a bonus: Participating artists _ plus Kate Seidman, Marcia Settipani, Beth Williams, and Leslie Wind _ are each donating a $50 gift certificate towards a piece of their work to be given away as door prizes. That’s ten gift certificates – over $500 worth of unique, hand made jewelry! Who knows? You could be a lucky winner’

As you browse, enjoy the music of master guitarist Ken Bonfield.

Ten percent of sales proceeds will be donated to seARTS, a non-profit organization dedicated to energizing Cape Ann through the Arts. The seARTS mission includes building strong networks between artists, advocacy for the arts, and programs that attract patrons of the arts to Cape Ann.
