Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 7:30 PM

Waterline Center, 66 Main St., Essex

This program will be presented by Ed Howard, of Howard’s Flying Dragon Antiques in Essex. Ed has 35 years of experience in the antiques business. His hobby, like those of his ancestors, is history. Ed is inviting all to take their ‘whatsits’ to this program. Are there any gadgets, kitchen utensils, garden tools or other items you can’t identify in your collection of ‘things’? Bring all you’d like to this fun-filled program, and together we may be able to solve quite a few mysteries!

Admission: $6 members / $8 non-members. To purchase tickets in advance, visit www.essexshipbuildingmuseum.org or call 978-768-7541.

Additional information about Ed Howard:

Ed Howard has 35 years of experience in the antiques business. His hobby, like those of his ancestors, is history. He remembers with fondness the many talks given for the Essex Historical Society by Lydia Roberts of Gloucester. She discussed the interesting and little known tools, inventions, gadgets etc. that she found in her travels as an antiques dealer. The evenings were always fun, especially with the audience participation Lydia so loved. Ed is bringing back just such an evening on April 10th.
