2008 Rockport Visitors’ Map and Guide to Highlight Rockport’s Unique Attractions
The Rockport Chamber of Commerce has begun production of the 2008 Rockport Visitors’ Map and Guide. This year, in order to meet a strong and steady demand, the Chamber will produce a total of 150,000 brochures. The Rockport guides will be placed in information kiosks throughout New England, displayed in area visitor centers and business establishments, distributed to hundreds of Boston-area hotels, attractions, and transportation centers, and mailed in response to inquiries worldwide.
This year’s publication will feature attractive photography and detailed listings for over 90 Rockport businesses, while highlighting Rockport’s unique attractions and opportunities for outdoor recreation. A 2008 Calendar of Events will also be included, to remind prospective visitors as well as those already here that Rockport is a year-round destination with special events and scenic beauty during every season of the year. As with prior year issues, the Chamber’s Map and Guide Committee will be soliciting paintings from Rockport’s artist community for the cover of the 2008 Rockport brochure.
The 2008 Visitors’ Map and Guide will serve as the Chamber’s principal marketing and fulfillment piece, promoting Rockport’s businesses together with our community’s scenic, natural, historic and cultural attractions. The Rockport Chamber is currently selling space for businesses to list in this key publication. Space is limited. All Rockport-based businesses interested in advertising in the 2008 Rockport Visitors’ Map and Guide are encouraged to contact the Rockport Chamber office immediately, in order to meet the January 11 deadline. The Rockport Visitors’ Map and Guide is scheduled to be completed and available for distribution by the latter part of March.
