A Concert From The Heart

Ayla Brown To Join Fly Amero, Allen Estes and David Brown At Concert From The Heart

American Idol finalist Ayla Brown will join a host of local musicians, including David Brown, Fly Amero and Allen Estes, at *A Concert From The Heart* at Gloucester High School*s Newell Stadium on Saturday, August 11, at 5p.m.

Brown has been touched by the stories of Gloucester boys J.J. Nicastro, who passed away from a heart affliction on July 12, and Jackson Altieri, who awaits a heart transplant at Children*s Hospital. *Ayla has a real interest in helping these families, and she*s been gracious in offering her time and talents,* said Bruce Tarr, one of the concert*s organizers.

Tickets for the concert, priced at $15, are now on sale on the internet at www.concertfromtheheart.org and at several local businesses, including Addison Gilbert Hospital, Lucido*s Barbershop, George*s Coffee Shop, Manor Inn, Gloucester Music, Bookstore, Cape Ann Savings Bank and the Chamber of Commerce. Tickets will also be on sale at the Sidewalk Bizarre.

Tarr said the effort, which has already pulled together dozens of volunteers, is still in need of more volunteers and major sponsors. Concert organizers can be contacted for this purpose on the website or by calling Cindy Donaldson of Addison Gilbert Hospital at 978-283-4000 ext.126, City Councilor Sefatia Romero at 978-283-1527 or Senator Bruce Tarr at 617-722-1600.

*This event is bringing together countless people to support the families of Jackson and J.J., and Ayla is joining a growing family united for that purpose and to raise awareness of the importance of blood and organ transplant.
