Bus service to Shubert available from North Shore Music Theatre

Thanks to the generosity of The Wang Center for the Performing Arts the fourth and fifth shows of our season, Abyssinia and Camelot, will be presented at this historic venue, located in the heart of Boston’s theater district at 265 Tremont Street. Transferring the shows into Boston will mean a monumental effort on the part of our staff, but it will allow us to continue our 2005 season, while repairs continue on our damaged home in Beverly. Here, too, there is a tremendous amount of work to be done, but our intent is to re-open on schedule for The Full Monty, with a brand new stage, new seats, and improved sight lines.

Grab family and friends for a comfortable ride into Boston to see ABYSSINIA! North Shore Music Theatre is offering bus service from the NSMT parking lot to The Shubert in Boston for $12 per person round trip. All you need to do is call the NSMT Box Office at 978-232-7200 to reserve your spot. We look forward to seeing you in at The Shubert!

Due to this short-term relocation, everyone currently holding tickets to Abyssinia and/or Camelot will need to have their current tickets replaced with tickets for comparable seats at The Shubert Theatre. Current ticket holders will be automatically receiving a letter in the mail explaining how to to exchange tickets for a performance at The Shubert Theatre, or to obtain a credit. We regret any inconvenience and thank you for your patience, understanding and, especially, participation during this temporary transition.

If you do not already have tickets to Abyssinia and/or Camelot – www.telecharge.com or www.wangcenter.org. NSMT Subscribers can call (978) 232-7200.

So many of you have offered to help. The best help and encouragement you can give at this challenging time is to come and see our shows in Boston. We need your support now, more than ever. If it’s not possible for you to go to Boston, give your tickets to friends – and encourage everyone you know to come see these musicals, too. Using your tickets to these shows is one of the best ways to help minimize the inevitable financial strain on our organization caused by the recent fire damage and its repercussions.

Of course, your additional financial donations have always been critical to our well-being. Now, they are crucial. Your contribution is needed right now. If you wish to contribute, donations can be made online at www.nsmt.org, by phone at (978) 232-7200, or by mail to North Shore Music Theatre, PO Box 62, Beverly, MA 01915.

We may have suffered a serious setback, but North Shore Music Theatre’s commitment to musical theater, and its patrons, is unstoppable. We have been truly heartened at the outpouring of goodwill, optimism and support from everyone during this challenging period in our theater’s history. That spirit is what will see us through to recovery. We need your participation now – as donors, as audience members, as people who believe that our community is immeasurably strengthened by our presence. Please join us as we share with Boston audiences what you, our North Shore patrons, have known all along – that North Shore Music Theatre produces some of the best musical theater in New England.
