Cape Ann Farmers’ Market

The Cape Ann Farmers’ Market is returning to downtown Gloucester ‘ bigger and better! The Market will feature a broader product mix of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers, plants, baked goods, organic products as well as all your favorites from last year. Cider Hill Farms of Amesbury and Brox Farm of Dracut will be returning this year as co-anchors of the Market. Steve Connolly Seafood will attend with an even greater variety of fresh, local, ocean catches. Alchemy will once again prepare their famous pizza made from products purchased at the Market. New additions to the Farmers’ Market will include activities for the kids, a caf’ and lounge area, and practical tips on healthy living and building a sustainable community.

The Market will open for the season on Thursday, July 12, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will continue every Thursday through October 11, rain or shine, at Harbor Loop in downtown Gloucester. We encourage folks to stay for the popular Free Harbor Loop Concert Series put on by the City of Gloucester every Thursday directly following the close of the Market.

Our goals are to preserve and foster the well being of the local agricultural system; protect farm open space; educate the Cape Ann community about healthy eating; maintain a healthy environment; and promote sustainable living. The omission of the middle man, packaging and shipping, cuts pollution and saves fossil fuels. You can’t beat locally grown fruits and vegetables for health and fantastic flavor!

Don’t forget to bring the kids! This is a perfect opportunity to let them explore, enjoy the outdoors, and learn about healthy foods. At the Farmers’ Market, shopping with the family is a fun activity and not a stressful chore.

The Cape Ann Farmers’ Market will go on rain or shine. We accept both EBT/Food Stamps and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Farmers’ Market Coupons.
