CAPE ANN SAVINGS BANK PROMOTES JOHN BRENNAN TO VICE PRESIDENT/SENIOR TRUST OFFICER

Cape Ann Savings Bank (capeannsavingsbank.com) announced today that John T. Brennan, Esq., CFP’ has been promoted to Vice President/Senior Trust Officer. In this new role, he will be responsible for directing the Bank’s Trust & Financial Services Department and bring his expertise to the Bank’s leadership team. Brennan also will continue to personally work with individuals and families to develop strategies that leverage their financial resources so they can make effective financial decisions that serve their long-term needs.

A Massachusetts licensed attorney and a Certified Financial Planner’ professional, Brennan earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston University, as well as a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School. Prior to joining Cape Ann Savings Bank, he worked at several area law firms and worked at the Office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth, Securities Division. He has also worked for the San Francisco Chronicle newspaper and its associated website, sfgate.com.

In addition to his professional connection to the region, Brennan is active in the community. He has been an active member of the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce, having recently served on the business education committee. Brennan is also a member of the Essex County State Planning Council and the Audubon Society. He recently ended a term as Treasurer for the North Shore Arts Association, a group in which he has been active for several years. He and his family live in Gloucester.
