CAPE ANN TV ANNOUNCES LOGO CONTEST WINNER
Cape Ann TV is pleased to announce that Eric Sens is the winner of its recent Logo Contest. Mr. Sens makes his home in West Gloucester with his wife Lynne (Trupiano) Sens. He is employed as an application specialist at Konica Minolta Business Solutions. He studied art and graphic design at McNeese State University, Lake Charles, Louisiana. He can be reached at EricCsenS@gmail.com
The logo that will now identify ‘Cape Ann TV,’ and its Channels 12 & 67, was chosen from over a dozen entries. Judging was by vote of the Board of Directors and staff of the new, regional, non-profit corporation that provides public access for the City of Gloucester and the Towns of Rockport, Manchester-By-The-Sea and Essex. ‘The station was fortunate to receive several excellent entries, any one of which would have worked well. Ultimately, it was the positive feeling evoked by the Sens design that won the day,’ said Sinikka Nogelo, Executive Director of Cape Ann TV.
According to Mr. Sens, the Nautilus shell used in the design represents the discovery of knowledge because of certain ratios that have been used throughout math, science, art and nature. The seagulls and the ocean give a sense of place, and convey the depth of issues that will be addressed, from the highest flight to the depths of the sea. The film strip represents the media which will carry these messages.
