Excitement is building as the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce prepares for its Nineteenth Annual Goods and Services Auction on Thursday, July 13, at 7:00 p.m. (preview at 5:30 p.m.) at the Tavern on the Harbor located at 33 Western Avenue (Route 127) in Gloucester. At this time, the value of donated items exceeds $150,000 and include an amazing array of items, including artwork from Cape Ann masters John Terelak, Ken Knowles, John Caggiano, Robert Gruppe, Donald Mosher, and more; advertising packages from Shamrock Media, Community Phonebook, North Shore Magazine, North Shore 104.9, and more; home goods of every type, including an Oriental rug from Landry & Arcari and a Wine Captain from Doyon’s Modern Home; and building and contracting supplies from architectural design to a winter of snow plowing. In addition, the Auction will feature over 30 trip packages with destinations in France, Ireland, the Islands, all over New England, and more; Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, and Celtics tickets and memorabilia; whale watches, deep sea fishing expeditions, and party cruises; and dining packages to tempt every palate or prepare your own feast with dozens of lobsters fresh off the boat!
