Final Weekend for Fiesta Exhibit

Labor Day weekend, September 3 and 4, will be the final opportunity to view St. Peter’s Fiesta through the years, an exhibition of historical photographs of the Fiesta celebration, on exhibit at the Cape Ann Historical Museum. Two other special exhibits, Allan Freelon: Pioneer African American Impressionist and Deep Water: The Cape Ann paintings of Edward Loper will also close after this weekend.

Three new exhibits; Visual Poetry: The Photographs of Lynn Swigart, Brush and Palette: Mayo Sorgman’s Cape Ann, and Artist John Coggeshall and the Coggeshall Camp Centennial will open on September 17, September 24 and October 1, respectively.

The Cape Ann Historical Museum is located at 27 Pleasant Street in Gloucester. The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. For more information call 978-283-0455.
