The Gloucester Pride Stride is a great opportunity for you to make money through pledges for your organization. It will cost you nothing except your time. We organize it, advertise it, and pay for the event. This is a fun filled day at Stage Fort Park that everyone enjoys.
How can you take full advantage of this event?? PLEDGES!! Pledges come from everywhere:
FAMILY NEIGHBORS FRIENDS CHURCH
SCHOOL CO-WORKERS CLUBS FRATERNAL ORGANIZATIONS
Have people sign up and pay their pledges before the event. This eliminates you running around last minute.
HOW DOES PRIDE STRIDE WORK??
You arrive at Stage Fort Park on Sunday 4/27/08 beginning at 10:00 am to pass in your pledge sheet (s). The walk officially starts at 12:00 pm. After you complete the walk there will be entertainment and a lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, chowder, and pizza will be served to all the walkers.
After the event all the pledges are totaled for each non-profit organization. 90% is given to the non-profit organizations at the awards night usually held 1 month after the event. The Gloucester Pride Stride Inc. keeps 10% to help defray the cost of the ‘Pride Stride’ event and to ensure the next years event. Many local businesses donate their time, money and supplies. Through their generosity we are able to hold this event each year. We also award (2) – $1000.00 scholarship’s each year to Gloucester students furthering their education.
IF YOU ARE NOT WALKING:
