Long Day’s Journey Into Night opens at Gloucester Stage

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Eugene O’Neill’s American theatre masterpiece, Long Day’s Journey Into Night is the poignant and painful journey of the Tyrone family as they struggle with demons, dreams and addictions.

Following the 5 p.m. performance on Sunday, September 11, audiences are invited to a free post show discussion with Director Eric C. Engel, cast members and Maureen Dezell, author of Irish America: Coming Into Cloverand arts reporter for Boston Globe.

The performance schedule for Long Day’s Journey Into Night is Thursday, September 1 through Saturday, September 3 at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, September 7 through Saturday, September 10 and Wednesday September 14 through Saturday, September 17 at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday performances on September 4, September 11 and September 18 at 5 p.m.

A limited amount of discount tickets are available to Cape Ann residents for the 7:30 p.m. performances on Thursday, September 1 and Wednesdays, September 7 and September 14. For these performances only, Cape Ann residents can purchase half price tickets for $15. Advance reservations are strongly suggested to ensure tickets at the discounted price Year round Cape Ann residents must identify themselves as Cape Ann residents when making a reservation and proof of residency must be presented at the box office the night of the performance.
