Merry Christmas to Adventure
Schooner Adventure has recently received some wonderful Christmas presents!!!

Restoration Funding
$25,000 in CPA funding for new spars was just announced by the City of Gloucester. This will permit us to put the new sails on this summer! In addition, this funding will be matched by the Dusky Foundation as part of a $250,000 challenge match.

Education Funding
The Thomas Anthony Pappas Charitable Foundation has just awarded us $5000 which joins 2 earlier grants this year from the Bruce J. Anderson Foundation and New England Biolabs Foundation for a total of $15,000.

This funding has allowed us to start offering for no charge:
‘ monthly History and Sharing Programs at the Rose Baker Senior Center
‘ the Traveling Dory Program to the Cape Ann elementary schools
‘ in the spring of 2012, the Working Waterfront Walking Tour to Gloucester 4th graders
