North Shore Arts Association proudly presents the final Members’ Exhibition of the season. Exhibition VI will open Sunday, September 18 and will run through Saturday, October 22. The public is invited to attend the opening reception on Sept. 18 from 2-4pm in the first floor gallery. In addition to Exhibition VI, NSAA will conclude its Artist Demonstration schedule as follows:
Sat., Sept. 17, 2p ‘ Charles Shurcliff; Watermedia,
Sun.,Sept. 25, 12pm-Judith and Lawrence Pumfrey; Oil, and
Sun.,Sept. 26, 2pm-JC Airoldi; Pastel and Oil.
Also, from Sun., Sept. 4 – Sun., Sept. 18, a Solo Exhibit by former NSAA President Andrea van Gestel will be on display in the Gordon Grant Room. Her paintings, primarily watercolors, focus on the beauty of Cape Ann’s quarries, woodlands and working waterfront. This exhibit will also feature select marble and wood sculptures by NSAA Co-Vice President Dolores Erickson Reid.
North Shore Arts Association has a thriving artist membership of over 350 contemporary artists recognized nationally and worldwide. They come not only from Cape Ann, but throughout North America. NSAA’s historic old building, located at 11 Pirates Lane in Gloucester, provides the opportunity to view the largest collection of paintings and sculpture on Cape Ann.
North Shore Arts Association is open Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sundays from Noon to 5:00 pm. The gallery extends its evening hours to 8 pm on Fridays through August.
