Twenty-Second Annual

Travel Writers’ Weekend

June 2, 3, and 4, 2006

The Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce invites members of the press to Discover the Perfect Vacations of Cape Ann.

Each year, the Tourist Division of the Chamber hosts media from around the country to share the beauty, history, and excitement of Gloucester, Rockport, Essex, and Manchester-by-the-Sea. A spectacular tourist destination, Cape Ann is rich in culture and provides ample opportunities for in-depth stories.

Discover the scenic coastline and beautiful beaches that French explorer Samuel de Champlain dubbed “le Beauport” when he mapped the shores of Gloucester in 1606. Four hundred years later, the four communities of Cape Ann: Gloucester, Rockport, Essex, and Manchester-by-the-Sea – each with its own unique flavor – are destinations still worth exploring.

$75 per person includes two-night accommodations, meals and attractions.

Attendees will be responsible for their own transportation. Cape Ann is accessible by train from Boston. Taxi service is available.

Space is limited. Please RSVP by May 19. For more information or to make a reservation please contact us at 978-283-1601 or email.
