The Rockport Chamber of Commerce, with support from the Town of Rockport, has launched www.ChristmasInRockport.org, a new Web site showcasing the town’s festive holiday celebrations and featuring dozens of family events in one of New England’s most picturesque towns.
On Friday, December 4th, Santa arrives by boat at Bearskin Neck’s Tuna Wharf, climbs into a fire truck, then led by the cub scouts and the Cape Ann Jazz Band parades to Dock Square for the annual tree lighting festivities with carolers and a full music program. And that’s just the beginning. Visitors to Rockport can enjoy evening holiday shopping, open houses, a gallery stroll, the 65th annual Christmas Pageant and more. The festivities climax with the acclaimed New Year’s Rockport Eve — six hours of stellar entertainment in Cape Ann’s quaint seaside village.
Built by local Web developer/marketer Van Ness Group, ChristmasInRockport.org puts the complete holiday calendar at your fingertips along with maps, photos and descriptions of scores of quaint shops, art galleries, and historic inns that are open throughout the holiday season.
The highly intuitive interface and powerful accommodations search features are designed to work on a cell phone and iPad — offering site visitors an easy and fun way to plan their holiday shopping and entertainment in Rockport, MA.
