Rockport Chamber’s 80th Anniversary Dinner Set for April 25
The Rockport Chamber of Commerce will mark its 80th Anniversary at its 2007 annual meeting and dinner, to be held on Wednesday, April 25 at the Emerson Inn by the Sea.
Nicholas Paleologos, recently appointed as Executive Director of the Massachusetts Film Office, will be the special guest speaker. A prominent producer of several major studio feature films, numerous independent movies and theatrical shows, Paleologos is a two-time Tony Award winner and a former state representative.
The 2007 Rockport Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting and Dinner will begin with a social hour at 6 pm, followed by dinner at 7 pm. During a brief business meeting, Rockport Chamber of Commerce members will elect a slate of directors and officers for its Board of Directors, to provide policy direction and guidance for the year ahead. The speaking program featuring MFO Director Paleologos will immediately follow the Chamber’s business meeting.
The evening’s festivities will conclude with special celebration marking the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Rockport Board of Trade in 1927, and the two-year anniversary of the merging of the Rockport Chamber of Commerce with the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce.
