Rockport Chamber to hold Members Meeting at Art Association

Jay Smith, President of the Board of Directors of the Rockport Chamber of Commerce, today announced that a general membership meeting has been scheduled for Thursday, January 18, at the Rockport Art Association, beginning at 5:00 pm. The meeting will begin with a brief review of the highlights of 2006, after which members will together look ahead and share plans for 2007, the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Rockport Board of Trade in 1927.

With the strong, generous and enthusiastic support of Chamber members and friends, 2006 was a record-setting year for the Rockport Chamber of Commerce. Motif #1 Days, Auction 2006, the second annual Harvest Festival and Christmas in Rockport were all notably successful events, thanks to broad-based financial support from the Rockport business community, together with generous volunteer contributions of time and talent from members and community-wide supporters of Chamber-sponsored initiatives.

The Rockport Chamber of Commerce looks forward to continuing and building upon this momentum in this special anniversary year of 2007. All Chamber members are invited and encouraged to come and share their thoughts and ideas for the year ahead. Admission is free and beverages and snacks will be served.
