Rockport Cultural Council Seeks Applications for $4000 in Grant Monies

The Rockport Cultural Council has set an October 15 deadline for organizations, schools and individuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the community. these grants can support a variety of artistic projects and activities in Rockport, including exhibits, festivals, short-term artist residencies or performances in schools, workshops and lecture as well as a ticket subsidy program for school-age children.

On Thursday, September 14 from 7 to 8 PM, The Rockport Council will hold a Question and Answer session at the Rockport LIbrary for anyone interested in learning more about the program or the application process. Application forms and printed material about the program requirements will be available as handouts. Applications forms and information about the Local Cultural Program are available on the MCC web site at www.massculturalcouncil.org/lccgrants.html, forms may be picked up at the Town Clerk’s Office at the Rockport Town Hall , at the Rockport Public Library or you may call Chairperson MaryRuth Sole at 546-7668 or email her at maryruth8@verizon.net for specific questions.

The Rockport Cultural Council is part of a grant program of the Massachusetts Cultural Council (MCC) a state agency. (www.massculturalcouncil.org) . The MCC provides allocations to each of Massachusetts’ 351 cities and towns to support cultural activities. This is the largest program of its kind in the United States.
