The Rockport Legion Band, led by Jason Howard, will present the final concert of its 2009 summer concert series on Sunday, August 30.. The program will include marches, old favorites, Broadway show tunes, polkas, popular music of the past, and, of course, the traditional playing of Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture”. Special guests will be the Rockport American Legion Post 98 Rifle Squad. Spent cartridges will be the annual treat for the kids in addition to the last popcorn of 2009.

Bring your chairs or a blanket and enjoy the music. Refreshments and copies of the band’s new CD release will be available. The concert begins at 7:00 P.M.
