ROCKPORT VISITOR AMBASSADORS NEEDED

ROCKPORT – On Memorial Day weekend, the Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce Rockport Division kicked off the 2014 season with the opening of the Rockport Information Booth. This year the Rockport Information Booth has been added to the Essex National Heritage Area’s Network of Welcome Centers spanning our region from Salisbury to Lynn.

Volunteers are needed this summer at the Rockport Booth. Volunteers can show their love of the Cape Ann community by welcoming and assisting visitors from around the world. This is an opportunity to meet and greet a diverse population who are here to learn, play, shop and dine. Volunteers can become Rockport and Cape Ann ambassadors.

The Rockport Information Booth, located at 170 Upper Main Street (Route 127) adjacent to the Rockport Police Station, is the first introduction for many visitors to the naturally beautiful, historic and cultural town of Rockport. The Booth will be open on Saturdays 10:00 am ‘ 5:00 pm and Sundays 11:00 am ‘ 4:00 pm during the months of June & September and 7 days a week during July and August.

Volunteers are also needed at the Cape Ann Visitor Center located at the Chamber’s main office, 33 Commercial Street, Gloucester.

Anyone interested in becoming part of the Rockport or Cape Ann Chamber’s main office team of volunteers is invited to call Debbie or Lorre at the Chamber 978-283-1601 or email: info@capeannchamber.com
