The farms and farmlands of the Essex National Heritage Area have a rich and vibrant history that has helped to define the character of the region. The Area has over 400 farms and nearly 25,000 acres of farmland. Visit some of our working farms. Taste their fresh produce. Enjoy the open space that is preserved by our active farmers. Trails & Sails weekend celebrates the Area’s farms and agriculture and is proud to feature events hosted by local farms.
