Gloucester Stage proudly announces the summer sessions of Youth Acting
Workshops for children ages 6 to 10 and ages 11 to 17. The Youth Acting
Workshops taught by Heidi Dallin are held on Fridays, beginning July 7th and
meet for seven weeks. The GSC Youth Acting Workshops help students discover
their creative potential, develop confidence and build communication skills
as well as give them the opportunity to learn about the skills necessary for
professional theatre. The workshops will include an introduction to theatre
basics such as theatre games, improvisation, movement, vocal and physical
expression, character preparation and storytelling. The seven week session
will culminate with informal presentations for family and friends at
Gloucester Stage. The presentations will be: (1) 6 to 10 year olds will
narrate and perform a classic children’s story; and (2) 11 to 17 year olds
will perform a play they have written during the seven week class session.

Gloucester Stage is a 27-year-old non-profit professional theatre located at
267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. Internationally acclaimed playwright
Israel Horovitz founded Gloucester Stage and serves as Artistic Director.
