The Rockport Public Library is a vital resource for ideas, information, and recreation for all members of the community. It provides universal access to knowledge and lifelong learning through print, online resources, programs, and services. The library is an open and welcoming meeting place for the community.
The library offers free internet service, public computers, remote printing, and the ability to copy, fax or scan. The Rockport Public Library is also a WiFi Hot Spot.
Book groups on poetry, contemporary issues, history, and general interest reading meet in the library throughout the year. Guests are welcome to join in the discussions. In addition, the Rockport Public Library has a host of free programs for all ages. These include movie screenings, author talks, Club Lego, storytimes, and an annual Summer Reading Program initiative. Current schedules are posted on the library website at Calendar of Events.
The library also has a large collection of books, magazines, audiobooks, DVDs, music CDs, and access to digital content. For those looking for a quick summer read, we offer a buck-a-book shelf for down time on the beach.
